I enjoyed the Beginners photography class recently. Olamide explained Aperture, IOS & shutter speed in simple terms & even sent me a breakdown of the terms by email. He was very passionate and very experienced in photography. If this class was offered again I would attend, it was a small class of 5 people which was a good size & enabled all of us to receive adequate attention, Olamide was friendly & experienced teacher.

My daughter had a fantastic time at Olamide?s session. He was very knowledgeable and engaging, and went out of his way to include my daughter in everything even though her camera wasn?t quite up to the task. I wasn?t sure if she was going to enjoy such a long session but she loved it and stayed engaged throughout.

This is the second session I have attended with Olamide and it was another insightful and useful session. There were 4 of us in addition to Olamide and it was interesting to see the range of cameras. I found a setting on my camera that I had no idea was even there!

I really enjoyed this session. It was both fun and informative and lovely to spend time with people who are as keen to make improvements to their photography as I am. The host was helpful, engaging and had some really useful insights which I have taken away to practice such as experimenting more with my aperture settings.

I am Tyran Choy, originally from Hong Kong, and before retiring I worked as a designer for many years.

Photography has been part of my life for a long time, but what I love most about it is not the camera itself. What interests me is the way photography teaches us to slow down and notice things we often miss.

I don't have one particular photographic style. I simply enjoy exploring — light and shadow, nature, people, buildings, quiet details, and those small moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. The more I photograph, the more I realise that photography is really about attention.
It teaches us to pause, to observe, and sometimes to discover beauty in very ordinary places.

I hope we can enjoy learning together, explore with curiosity, and perhaps discover that photography is not only about taking pictures, but also about learning to see.

Originally showed up at Gouldsboro State Park at sunrise to get a backlit, misty shot of the island but when I got there, NO mist, and enough boats on the lake to walk across!Quickly decided to take a backroad to another favorite spot nearby, and slammed on the brakes as I was driving over a small bridge when I looked to the right and saw THIS scene. Finding it was sheer luck, but as always, just getting out there at first light is half the battle. Made this one standing right on the bridge.
